Parkinson's Disease 201: Comprehensive Management

The comprehensive management of individuals with Parkinson's involves not only the pharmacological and surgical management, but also the appropriate use of allied health professionals, assistive technologies, educational and support resources along the chronic illness continuum. This program is designed to enhance your knowledge of successful disease management utilizing these approaches. During the program you will learn about the following:

  • Motor fluctuations and their management
  • Non-motor symptoms and their management
  • Speech therapy approaches
  • Coping skills
  • Cognitive symptoms of Parkinson's
  • Deep brain stimulation surgery
